Rwanda National Police (RNP) and the Ministry of Environment have donated solar power systems to 300 disadvantaged families in Kigoyi and Bukamba villages of Kamukiza cell, Mukindo sector in Gisagara district.
The solar systems were handed over to the beneficiaries, who are far from the national grid, on Tuesday, October 29.
The RNP engineering regiment is helping the families to connect their houses with solar energy.
The human security activity is part of the RNP community development initiatives, fighting and preventing crimes and environmental protection.
