“This is our address that we didn't have; we now have a place where we will be meeting to discuss and resolve underlying issue such as; child malnutrition, education of our children, fighting illicit drugs and many others,” said Masengesho.

Governor Mureshyankwano urged the residents to maintain their office and make it their centre to work together on development and security matters.

She also urged them embrace Umugoroba w'ababyeyi to discuss better ways to implement social welfare programmes.

DIGP Munyuza appreciated the role residents of Uwimana for making their village crime free.

“RNP recognizes your community policing efforts towards peace and security; don't lean back, let this safety be an ingredient to your development activities," DIGP Munyuza said.

“This is your property, and is meant to foster common interest, so make good use of it."

In the Northern Province, Governor Gatabazi appealed to the residents to work with security organs to share information on drug dealers, families with conflicts, child abuse as well as people and leaders involved on malpractices like corruption, among others.
