The National Handball champions, Police Handball Club have started intensive training ahead of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) games to be held in Nairobi, Kenya from August 25. Police is the EAPCCO handball champions.
Inspector of Police (IP) Antoine Ntabanganyimana, the Police head coach said that all players are fit and taking part in daily training in Remera.
“Training continued immediately after we won Rwanda Handball Cup [on August 5] because we have tough competitions ahead, so we have no time to rest or waste,” IP Ntabanganyimana said.
“Immediately after EAPCCO games we will also represent Rwanda in Africa handball champions League in Cape Verde in October and the Eastern Africa and Central Africa Handball Federations Cup (ECAHF) which will be played in December in Kigali,” he added.
Police Handball Club has already added three trophies in the cabin in this campaign. They include the National Championship, Rwanda Cup and Heroes Day Cup.
Since it was founded in 2002, Police Handball Club has won 44 cups, including seven national league championships.
