Peter Otema’s strike in the 67th minutes was enough to salvage Police FC to a narrow 1-0 win over Musanze on Thursday. It was on Day-Five of 2018/2019 Azam Rwanda Premier League.

In a match played at Mumena stadium in Nyamirambo, the two teams failed to find the net in the first half.

Coach Albert Mphande made changes his Police side in the second half, introducing striker Isaie Songa, Niyibizi Vedaste and Mitima Isaac for Arafat Bahame, Jean Paul Uwimbabazi and Huberto Sinceres Manzi, respectively. These changes brought some life in the game.

Songa’s thunderbolt in the 67th minutes couldn’t be contained by the goalkeeper, who punched it only to find Peter Otema in place to tap the ball inside the net.

It was Police’s fourth straight win scoring 10 goals. The law enforcers are fourth on the log although tied on 12 points with third placed Rayon Sport but three points behind table leaders APR.
