Some 191 officers, from the Rwanda National Police (RNP), Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), and allied students from Liberia National Police, completed a 12-week Police Station Commanders Course (PSCC) at the Counter Terrorism Training Centre (CTTC) in Mayange, Bugesera District.
The graduation ceremony, held on Friday, March 27, marked the conclusion of cohort intake 02/26, which included 10 officers from RIB and 10 from Liberia—highlighting growing bilateral cooperation in policing and security.
The Station Commanders Course is designed to equip participants with critical leadership and operational skills necessary for managing police stations effectively as the first point of contact between law enforcement and the public.

Presiding over the pass-out, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel, DCG Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza, thanked the trainees for their commitment and and successfully completing the highly demanding and quality course.
She added that this is part of a broader effort to continuously enhance leadership and professionalism at the police station level.
She emphasized the importance of integrity and professionalism in their new roles.

“You are now entrusted with responsibility, authority, and influence at the station level… What you do in your daily duties will shape public confidence in our institution.”
She further urged them to maintain discipline and strong ethical values, emphasizing that without them, even the highest quality training becomes meaningless.
“Our fellow graduates from the Liberia National Police, your presence emphasizes the value of cooperation and the shared commitment to building capable and professional policing institutions across our continent,” DCG Ujeneza said.
