Ntakirutimana Emmanuel, a resident of Bususuruke Village in Kagano Cell, Kitabi Sector of Nyamagabe District could have succeeded in his tricks to traffic and sell narcotic drugs.
Well, Ntakirutimana’s tricks ended on July 11, when residents, who unearthed his criminal dealings called the Police, who arrested him.
At the time, Ntakirutimana was found in possession of 220 pellets of cannabis.
Inspector of Police (IP) Emmanuel Kayigi, police spokesperson for the Southern region, said: “We received a call that someone had delivered cannabis to Ntakirutimana, and that he was packing them in rolls to sell them.”
“You may be successful today in your criminal dealings, but you will be arrested anytime, especially that the public have taken up the role to fight the vice and crimes in general,” IP Kayigi said.
“The fight against drug abuse through operations and community awareness is one of the top priorities. Many drug dealers have been reported by the residents and arrested, and no doubt even those still involved will be apprehended and prosecuted,” he added.
