Members of the District Administration Security Support Organ (DASSO) in Ngoma District have been called upon to exercise high level of professionalism, integrity and discipline, and provide service excellence.

This, they were told, will further win the trust of the public.

The mayor of Ngoma, Aphrodis Nambaje made the call recently during a meeting that together Police, local authorities and about 100 members of DASSO in Ngoma.

At least 40 of the DASSO participants joined the administrative security organ recently after they completed the course at Police Training School (PTS) Gishari.

While thanking their contribution to security, the mayor challenged them to always work with the police and the people to ensure crime prevention and building crime-free societies.

“Professionalism means discipline, patriotism, integrity and being exemplary at all times,” the mayor told DASSO members.

Ngoma District Police Commander, Senior Supt. Janvier Mutaganda, also commended the role of DASSO in security, and urged them to always be on the lookout, share timely information with security organs to ensure criminal activities are prevented and suspects arrested.

He pointed out to drug abuse as one of the major security concern to give priority in identifying dealers and abuser.
