Musanze: DASSO members urged to improve service delivery

Members of the District Administrative Security Support Organ (DASSO) operating in Musanze District, have been challenged to stay professional to standard rules and aim for service excellence.

The call was made by the District Police Commander of Musanze, Supt. Aphrodis Gashumba, while meeting DASSO members on the district.

The one day review meeting aimed streamlining their policing operations and rules of engagement, and to draw further strategies to fight and prevent crimes.

Supt. Gashumba appealed to DASSO members to focused to their ethical and administrative security duties while embracing the national values.

“Whatever you do, you should be defined by your integrity, discipline, and be exemplary to support and earn the public confidences. Every success is built around these values, which Rwandans should see in you to trust and share with you information on wrongdoers,” the DPC said.

He, however, thanked them for their contribution in policing including identifying and apprehending wrongdoers.

“There are some report where some of you have been caught or implicated in malpractices and criminal acts such as soliciting bribes, working with criminals and at times beating people, which tarnishes your image; those unlawful acts will not be entertained...nobody is above the law,” the DPC warned.

Venant Munyandamutsa, the DASSO leader in Musanze urged them to heed the message and ensure that they are reliable in community security and development affairs.
