Over fifty commercial motorcycle taxi operators operating in and around Gacurabwenge in Kamonyi District have been urged to respect traffic rules to spare road users’ lives and property.

Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) , Athanase Niyonagira, Kamonyi District Community Liaison Officer (DCLO), while meeting  the operators warned them against operating without driving licence, insurance, over speeding, reckless riding,  and respect traffic signs.

He, however, lauded them for cooperating with security organs to fight and prevent crimes and appealed to them to strengthen this partnership.

AIP Niyonagira also urged them to be vigilant not to fall prey of wrongdoers to transport illegal luggage like illicit drugs and smuggled goods.
