Forty community night patrol in Runda sector of Kamonyi district met in Ruyenzi cell where they were asked to work with communities to know and report in time what can cause insecurity.
While speaking to the patrol personnel, Athanase Niyonagira, the District Community Liaison Officer (DCLO) said cooperation with the public is paramount if they have to know all criminals to assist the judicial system.
Niyonagira, who commended their community security work asked them to be disciplined, patriotic and exemplary and always be result focused.
AIP Niyonagira also challenged them to embrace government initiatives like Ndi Umunyarwanda, Umuganda), subscribe to medical insurance scheme, which are meant to improve the well-being of Rwandans.
“The meeting was vital. It has been an good opportunity for me and my colleagues to review our assignments, evaluate ourselves and lay jointly strategies to reinforce safety and security in our sector,” one of the participants, Seleman Rutaganzwa, said
