Judicial Police officers challenged on quality service

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Emmanuel K. Gasana challenged judicial officers to strive to serve the public to the expected standard.

The IGP Gasana made the call on July 21 while meeting 47 Regional and District Judicial Police Officers at the Police headquarters in Kacyiru.

The officers were attending a one day training in various disciplines including how to investigate high profile cases, counterfeit, fraud, crime prevention and e-filing among others.

He appealed to the officers to be evidence based, proper record keeping and always be updated on various affairs.

He also asked them to report incidences in time and desist from anything that can tarnish the image of the force like corruption.

He further appealed to them to seize such opportunities to acquire more skills to enable them perform their tasks effectively.

"Criminals exploit the advancement of technology to commit their criminal acts, such as cybercrimes and financial related ones, and it's important that Police keeps ahead to foil their illegal moves," the noted.
