The Inspector General of Police (IGP), CG Felix Namuhoranye, on Tuesday, September 10, briefed the Rwanda National Police (RNP) men and women volleyball teams, which will participate in the Kampala Amateur Volleyball Championship (KAVC) in Uganda, and urged them to strive for excellence with honor.
He reminded them that they are not only representing the Rwanda National Police but the entire nation.
"As you compete, remember that you carry more than just a ball; you carry the pride, discipline, and values of our country," IGP Namuhoranye told the teams.
He urged them to demonstrate exemplary behavior and compete with determination throughout the tournament, which tips-off this Thursday, September 11.

"Let your teamwork be seamless, your discipline unshakable, and your spirit focus on excellence. Victory is not just measured by trophies, but by the character you display, the respect you earn, and the unity you preserve. Compete to win and with honor."
He further emphasized that sports is an integral part of the Rwanda National Police's development strategy to promote the institution’s image regionally and internationally.
The KAVC International tournament brings together top teams in East Africa. The RNP male team won the 2023 championship.
