At the invitation of his counterpart, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Munyuza joined Mozambique Police on Friday to mark the 44th anniversary of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM).
The anniversary which coincided with the 20th anniversary for the National Police Academy, was held at the Heroes square in Mozambique and presided over by the Hon. Minister of Interior, Jaime Basilio Monterio, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Mozambique.
The ceremony was also attended by Chiefs of Police from Namibia, Angola, Seychelles and Eswatini as well as Deputy Police Chiefs from Zambia and Zimbabwe.
IGP Munyuza and his counterparts from other African countries laid wreaths at the Heroes square in honour of Mozambique fallen Heroes especially those who died during the liberation struggle.
