Secondary school  headteachers  in the district were part of the attendees.

Mayor Kayiranga appealed to the participants to avoid putting one sentry at work place, saying,“It is hard for one sentry on duty to counter external attacks. There is need to deploy more than one sentinel to avert risks related to the aloneness,” he explained to the participants.

Chief Supt. of Police (CSP),Tom Murangira,Huye District Police Commander (DPC),cautioned  headteachers over employing unprofesional sentinels who also use inappropriate security tools like sticks, deemed useless in case of an armed assault.

Among the strategies, included a monthly meeting which will be bringing together the owners of the security companies, headteachers and security organs in the entity to lay mechanisms to ensure and reinforce security in the schools and that of the security campanies' clients.
