Police Handball Club thrashed Ecole secondaire Urumuri Karongi 37-19 on day six of the national league to stay top of the table with maximum points.
The Saturday morning show away in Karongi ensured that Police remains unbeaten in all competitions this season in which they have already bagged two trophies in their cabin to make it nine since last year. Last year, they lost only one match in all the seven local competitions, which they won.
Zachary Tuyishime and Jean Paul Muhawenimana bagged 9 and 5 goals respectively to lead the reigning champions to yet another easy win in the pursuit for their fourth national league glory in the last five seasons.
Police coach Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) Antoine Ntabanganyimana attributed the win to easy preparations.
"We treat each match equally, there is no big or small club. That way, we have been able to win maximum points in all matches we have played," he said.
"We have a tournament next weekend - Labour Day Cup - which is now what we are going to prepare ourselves for."
