Driving licence tests start in Kigali

Over 10, 000 are set to seat for the provisional and definitive driver’s licence tests which started on October 6 in the City of Kigali.

The candidates are those that registered in driving schools.

Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Emmanuel Kabanda, the Spokesperson of the Traffic and Road Safety department said a total number of 4, 795 and 5, 530 candidates registered for definitive and provisional tests respectively.

He explained that the tests will end on October 11 in Kigali before heading to the Eastern Province from October 13 to 16.

In the Southern Province and the Western districts of Rusizi, Nyamasheke, Karongi, Ngororero and Rutsiro, the tests will be conducted between October 20 and 23 and finally in the Northern Province and other Western province from October 27 to 30.

In Kigali, tests are being conducted on Nyamirambo, Gahanga, Remera, Nyandungu and Mulindi.

“Registration for public tests is being done and will end on the 25th October. The tests will be conducted between November 3 and 27,” CIP Kabanda said.
