The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Operations, Dan Munyuza has urged police officers operating in the districts of Muhanga and Ruhango and Kamonyi to double their efforts and offer quality policing services.
The DIGP made the call on August 6 in Muhanga where he met officers from the three District Police Units (DPUs).
He urged them to be patriotic, avoid drunkenness and corruption and work with the population and other stakeholders to ensure sustainable security.
A good police officer, he said, receives those seeking services well and solves their problems.
“Be dignified and disciplined police officers committed to offer to the best of your expectations,” he told them.
The visit is part of his ongoing tour of district units to improve the policing services.
