Contracts of Police FC coaching staff extended

Police Football Club has offered a new three-year contract that runs until 2020, to all its three members of the coaching team.

Those whose contracts have been extended are Innocent Seninga, the head coach; Justin Bisengimana (Assistant coach); and Jean Claude Maniraguha (goalkeeper coach).

Police FC spokesperson, Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Jean de Dieu Mayira disclosed the development.

“All the three members of the coaching bench have already signed their contracts,” CIP Mayira said.

According to Mayira, under the new contract, the club should win at least one trophy in local football tournaments.

“The contracts specifies all the benefits they will be getting, but also tasks them to further build the team in all aspects of discipline and other values, as well as winning trophies, at least one trophy every season,” CIP Mayira said.

The law enforcers finished second in last season’s Azam Rwanda Premier League.

“The club management is ready to support them including bringing in new and quality players,” he added.

The club has so far signed five players and recalled one of its players, who were on loan.

The newly signed players include the pair of Bertrand Iradukunda and David Nzabanita both from Bugesera FC; Mustapha Nsengiyumva and Fiston Munezero both from Rayon Sports, and Issa Zapy Ishimwe, who also joined on free-transfer from Rayon Sport. Olivier Usabimana was been recalled from Marines.

Coach Seninga, who one year contract had expired, said his main focus next season will be winning the national league, but understands well that it will require him “more than usual” preparations.

“Police FC is a good club that every coach here in Rwanda would want to join. We are also equally happy that the management has again entrusted it in our hands, and we will also strive not to disappoint those that believe in us,” Seninga said.
