50 Police officers in exhibit handling course

Fifty police officers are attending two-day training on how to handle and protect seized exhibits to facilitate the judicial process.

The course that kicked-off on Tuesday at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) Headquarters in Kacyiru brings together Police stations’ commanders (OCs) and District Judicial Police (DJPs) officers.

Senior Superintendent Bénoit Nsengiyumva, said there is need to “provide such skills to station commanders as officers responsible for the supervision of daily station businesses and exhibits handling” among others.

The training, he explained, will add to the officers’ expertise to protect the seized exhibits to facilitate judicial proceedings and help the police to accomplish its mandate.

He urged trainees to follow the lessons carefully.

Participants will be awarded with certificates at the end of the course.
