Rwanda National Police (RNP) has enhanced the skills of its 44 officers, who successfully completed the intensive Motorbike Escort and Skills Display Course on Friday, November 14, at the Police Training School (PTS) Gishari in Rwamagana District.
The seven -week course was conducted in partnership with the Royal Eswatini Police Service, aimed at strengthening officers’ escort capacity and road safety competencies.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP), CG Felix Namuhoranye, while closing the course, commended the strong cooperation between Rwanda and Eswatini Police institutions, emphasizing that the training strengthened officers’ efficiency while contributing to safer road use.
The pass-out was also attended by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel, DCG Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza and the Director of Traffic Policing and Transport Management at the Royal Eswatini Police Service, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police, Rafael Maseko, among others.

“The knowledge and skills gained from this training will undoubtedly reinforce our officers’ performance in escorting duties, maneuvering and defensive riding techniques,” IGP Namuhoranye said, adding that this will amplify the existing road safety initiatives.
He urged the graduates to uphold professionalism and discipline.
"Discipline should always characterize your conduct, as it is the foundation of fulfilling any Police responsibilities,” IGP Namuhoranye said.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Rafael Masoke also lauded the existing cooperation between the two Police institutions.

“The milestone achieved is a result of the ongoing cooperation between the Royal Eswatini Police and the Rwanda National Police,” he said.
He extended gratitude for the collaboration and hospitality, noting that the course represents more than just the transfer of advanced skills, but a demonstration of brotherhood, professionalism and continuous learning.
