COMMUNITY POLICING COMMITTEES TRAINING

Community Policing Committees (CPCs) are made up of ordinary citizens chosen by fellow residents. They operate at sector, cells and village level to collect information that helps in crime prevention, sensitise them about the need to overcome crime and address public safety collectively.  Currently, there are 74,765 CPCs across the country.

Rwanda National Police continued its efforts to empower the people to own their security and support them in human security activities to improve their livelihoods.

Rwanda National Police organises periodical training of CPCs that emphasises building capacity for crime-solving, proactive prevention of crime and disorder and community mobilisation.
