The Rwanda National Police (RNP) has called upon members of the public with information that could lead to the arrest of  Hora Sylvestre, 31, who is wanted over the murder of a 12-year old girl in Nyamirambo, Nyarugenge District last week, to inform nearby authorities or call 0788311324.

Hora is wanted over the murder of Shalon Isimbi Uwase doted as Bela on March 26, whom he stabbed in the throat before fleeing.

The victim died en route to the hospital.

Assistant Commissioner for Police (ACP), Damas Gatare, Police Spokesperson, during a press briefing on March 30, appealed to anyone with information of the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward to bring him to justice.

He called upon media outlets to spread the information so that the suspected killer is brought to justice.

ACP Theos Badege, the Commissioner for Criminal Investigation Department said the suspect hails from Gikonko sector of Gisagara district and disguises himself as Mpore Sylvestre in his home village.

Hora Sylvestre as his identity card indicates, also camouflaged himself as Sylvain Hagumamahoro, in Nyamirambo.

He had worked for the victim’s parents as a house-help for about 14 years.

According to available investigations, Hora committed the inhuman act as revenge after the victim’s parents laid him off his domestic duties over misconduct.

Apparently, Hora ambushed Bela in the late evening as she was going to buy goods at the nearby shop, covered her mouth and stabbed her in the neck before fleeing.
