The Rwanda National Police football club eased through to the semi-finals of the Peace Cup after eliminating Musanze FC in quarterfinals in a match played at Kicukiro artificial turf on June 7.
The Police side scored in each of the either side of the match to register a 2-1 deserved win over Musanze.
Striker Sina Jerome was on target in the dying minutes of the first half to put the law enforcers in lead before break.
The Sam Ssimbwa’s side started with an attacking game in the second half which paid off in the 50th minute with Peter Kagabo’s strike to double the lead.
Musanze’s consolation goal came in the 31st minute of the second half through their striker, Wayi Yeka but it was not enough to stop the Police side from booking their place in the semis and to continue their dream of winning the Peace Cup this year.
