The Rwanda National Police is calling upon families and the pubic to report identified family disputes to local authorities. The call was made following recent cases of domestic violence and deaths resulting from family disputes.
Police warns intense family feuds can result into violent fights and in many circumstances, deaths. The Police also advised the public to approach security organs or local authorizes for counseling.
Families should seek counseling services from local authorities or counseling centers. If issues are not resolved amicably, family members or neighbors should therefore report the conflicts to the Police in time to avoid possible homicides. Police does not support vigilantes. The public shouldn’t take justices into its own hands.
