Police Handball Club are 'Liberation Cup' champions

Police handball club has continued to write history winning the 'Liberation Cup' in a tournament played on Saturday at Kimisagara youth centre.

Three local clubs - APR, Nyakabanda and Police - took part in the tournament.

Police beat Nyakabanda 36-16 and APR 19-15 to lift the cup thanks to a 13-goal tournament high individual scores that helped the law enforcers register maximum points.

It was all join in the Police camp at the end of their last match with APR, their closest competitor in the national league as they added a third trophy in their cabin this season alone.

The law enforcers are this year's 'Labour Day', 'Genocide memorial' and 'Liberation' cups champions.

The record is not only in winning trophies; they have also not lost any match in all competitions this season and are favourites to get yet another silverware to lift national league cup.

Police coach AIP Antoine Ntabanganyimana thanked the Rwanda National Police for giving them all necessary support had has guided them to success.

He was also full of praises for his prayers for their winning-focus.
