RWANDA NATIONAL POLICE - PRESS RELEASE

August 27, 2013: KIGALI-RWANDA: yesterday, August 26, 2013, rallies for the parliamentary elections slated for September 16th kicked off as candidates representing their respective political parties started a 21-day countrywide tour.
Rwanda is now defined by the tradition of peaceful and secure elections as witnessed in the previous polls.

Rwanda National Police (RNP), therefore, appeals to the community to maintain this culture, and participate peacefully in the electoral process.

Rwanda National Police in partnership with other security organs and the National Electoral Commission (NEC) are dedicated to ensure incident-free elections.

We call upon the public to continue their noble cause to provide information on any one that tries or could be having plans to distablise the electoral process, by calling toll-free line – 112.

Ensuring peaceful elections should not be a one-way, but rather a responsibility of every Rwandan as we unite towards building a safer country for all.
