The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Dan Munyuza has asked Police officers to utilise time and uphold discipline in their duties.

The DIGP made the call on Friday while presiding over the closing of the five-day ‘Crime Investigation’ course at the Rwanda National Police Ethics Centre in Kacyiru.

“Be focused, exhibit discipline and don’t waste time in whatever you do,” the DIGP told the officers.

The cause was attended by 50 Police officers, who include District Judicial Police Officers (DJPOs) and Police Station Commanders.

The officers covered areas such as Crime Scene Management, Forensic science, functioning and Jurisdiction of Criminal Courts and how to conduct interviews and exhibit handling, among others.

The training aimed at enriching their knowledge and skills in criminal investigation and equipping participants with investigative skills.

DIGP Munyuza also asked the trainees to use the acquired skills and knowledge to effectively execute their tasks and to always ensure “focused inspection.”
