Former United States of America ambassador to Austria, Swanee Hunt has praised the strategies laid by Rwanda National Police in the campaign against gender based violence and women empowerment.
Ambassador Hunt said this on Thursday while visiting Rwanda National Police, where she was received by the Inspector General of Police, Emmanuel K. Gasana.
She was explained on various initiatives to empower women and fight gender based such as the establishment of the anti-GBV gender desk and Isange One stop centre.
Isange offers holistic approach to the gender related issues and free-medical, psycho-socio and legal services to GBV victims.
