36 Police officers complete ‘Intermediate Command and Staff Course’

Thirty six Police officers on Thursday completed a three-month ‘Intermediate Command Staff Course’ at the National Police College (NPC) in Musanze District as the force continues the road to professionalism.
 
The pass-out of the second intake covered areas like security operations, command, administration and staff duties.
 
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel, Stanley Nsabimana, who presided over the pass-out, said: “Addressing security concerns efficiently requires professional skills and materials. It’s in this spirit that this course, among others, was organized to capacitate officers to fulfill their assignments.”
 
DIGP Nsabimana told the officers to always be guided by trust and cooperation in their routine to serve well the public, and be agents of change in their respective units.
 
Commissioner of Police (CP) Vianney Nshimiyimana, the Commandant of NPC thanked Rwanda National Police for starting the course to give officers more expertise to offer professional services.
 
“No doubt the skills and knowledge acquired by participants will be useful to them and the force in general,“ CP Nshimiyimana noted.

Chief Inspector, Emmanuel Kabanda was also recognised as the overall best performing officer.
