Police FC thrashed Mukura 3-1 in Muhanga on April 16 to ease through to the quarter finals of the Peace Cup.

A Jacques Tuyisenge spot kick on the 15th minute of the first half and a brace by co-striker Innocent Habyarimana in either half kept the law enforcers on course to continue the chase for the trophy.

Police FC's next opponent in the quarters is Musanze who eliminated the second division Kirehe 8-7 on spot kicks following a 2-all draw.

The win was foreseen owing the recent form and the 5-0 thrashing of their last opponent Bugesera

Elsewhere, APR completed a dramatic 10-9 win over AS Muhanga on spot-kicks, Amagaju progressed with an easy 4-0 win over second division club Etoile de l’est, Sec Academy beat Aspor 4-1, Espoir snatched a slim 1-0 win over Gicumbi, SC Kiyovu 2-1 Esperance.

The winner of the tournament will represent the country at next year’s Caf Confederation Cup.
