Police, military officers in Post-bomb blast investigation course

Twenty-six Police and Army officers on Monday started a joint course in Post-bomb blast investigation as the forces continue to capacitate their officers to handle the vice effectively.

The four-day course is being held at the Ethics Centre at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General headquarters in Kacyiru.

Participants will get skills in evidence collection including fingerprint and photography.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Administration and Personnel, Stanley Nsabimana said “terrorist groups utilize modern technology to cause insecurity,” which requires security organs to always be ahead of them to prevent such acts.

He said this course is crucial to equip security officers with skills and knowledge in explosives and how to handle related acts effectively.

DIGP Nsabimana expressed gratitude to trainers who are from the US embassy in Kigali and challenged trainees to make use of the session to gain more knowledge to execute their assignments effectively.
